1. Foodstalk.org's What's in Season New York Graphic -- This gorgeous informational graphic details the foods that you'll find in season in New York, and it's pretty similar for New England. The organization is a project started by Tyler Mintz, who hails from a family of farmers. His mission is to "to increase understanding of the importance and value of locally grown food." In his mission statement, he also says: "After all, we are what we eat - why not make it awesome?!" YES. So true.
2. Inventions are cool. Especially ones having to do with coffee and tea. This nifty little bean helps keep your beverage at the perfect temperature for twice as long. Not too hot, not too cold, thus perfect for Goldielocks, or your favorite warm-beverage drinker.
3. The Spunky Coconut's Creamy Roasted Garlic Dip - This creamy dip looks delightful. Roasted garlic and cashews? Yes, please! If you've never had roasted garlic, I highly recommend making some the next time you turn your oven on. It's like candy, I swear.
4. Meet Your Farmer - A collection of short films about local Maine farms. From horse-powered farms to all organic farms, this project was put together by the Maine Farmland Trust. Definitely something to watch, whether you live in Maine or not.
6. Speaking of probiotics, I've been getting mine from Green Valley Organic's Lactose Free Kefir. A lighter texture than yogurt, Kefir, according to their site, is "has been collecting a long list of health benefits. These include: Enhancing the immune system, stimulating digestion, easing lactose intolerance and controlling harmful yeast overgrowth." I love that it's lactose free.
Enjoy!

that lacotse free kefir is delicious. Bonus points for lactose free, i agree!
